Prime numbers are numbers that do not have any divisor apart from one or themselves.

Another way of putting it is that n is prime if that number of objects cannot be arranged into a rectangle, as shown in the illustration.

The first 50 terms (starting from n=1) are:

Example

To get the value for n=11:

  • Find the eleventh prime, giving 31.

So the result is 31.
