Tau of n cubed

Rule

Each term is: The number cubed, then take the number of the divisors

Known as: Tau of n cubed

The number of divisors of n cubed.

The first 50 terms (starting from n=1) are:

1 4 4 7 4 16 4 10 7 16 4 28 4 16 16 13 4 28 4 28 16 16 4 40 7 16 10 28 4 64 4 16 16 16 16 49 4 16 16 40 4 64 4 28 28 16 4 52 7 28

Example

To get the value for n=13:

  • Cube the number, giving 2197.
  • Find the number's divisors, giving 1, 13, 169, 2197
  • Count them, giving 4.
